What nonprofits should post about in May

Consider these timing hooks when planning content calendar!

Timing hooks are moments in time like holidays, awareness months or events. When it comes to content ideas, these hooks are low-hanging fruit and great ways for your organization to join in relevant conversations. If you choose to take advantage of one of these timing hooks-do it well.

There’s a difference between posting just to post and actually adding to the conversation, showing appreciation for a group, acknowledging a holiday or educating your audience. So don’t just throw up “It’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!” with a one sentence caption of, “We love and appreciate our AAPI community members!” Only post if you have something to say that’s worth saying or something to contribute.

With that, happy content creating! Here are some timing hooks your organization can take advantage of in May.
